Installation and configuration of tools for a Collaborative Research paper

    Hello everyone, my name is Tirta Agung Jati. I will share my experience in preparing for a Collaborative Research paper.

What tools will I use? Tools that can be used for research, writing, and publication :

 1. Mendeley 

Mendeley can help you collect references, organize your citations, and create bibliographies.  

Download Mendeley Desktop, Web, and Plugin Browser (www.mendeley.com)

This site will help you to install Mendeley on your desktop. 

After Installation Mendeley, you have to register a Mendeley account first. 

Don't worry if you don't have Microsoft office you can still use Mendeley in Libre Office.

    2. Publish or Perish 

    Publish or Perish is a software program that retrieves and analyzes academic citations. It uses Google Scholar to obtain the raw citations, then analyzes these and presents the following statistics: Total number of papers.

    3. Vos Viewer 

    VOSviewer for constructing and visualizing bibliometric networks. These networks may for instance include journals, researchers, or individual publications, and they can be constructed based on citation, bibliographic coupling, co-citation, or co-authorship relations.

    4. Open Knowledge Map (https://openknowledgemaps.org/ )

    Open Knowledge Map is a visual interface that dramatically increases the visibility of research findings for science and society alike.

    

    5. Biblioshiny (bibliometrix.org)

    Bibliometrics is the application of quantitative analysis and statistics to publications such as journal articles and their accompanying citation counts.

    How to install Bibliometrics :

  • first, you should install R and Rstudio
  • open studio, and write install.packages("bibliometrics")

  • write library(bibliometrix)

  • write biblioshiny()

    6. Gephi (https://gephi.org/ )

    Gephi is the leading visualization and exploration software for all kinds of graphs and networks


    7. Grammarly 

    Grammarly is an online grammar checker and spell checker in English structure and corrects mistakes in writing. Grammarly provides correct word recommendations if there are wrong words in the English structure. But I only use the free version,  in the free version does not offer many features, there are features such as Spelling, Grammar, and Punctuation

    8. Turnitin ( https://www.turnitin.com/ )

    Turnitin is an originality checking and plagiarism prevention service that checks your writing for citation mistakes or inappropriate copying. When you submit your paper, Turnitin compares it to text in its massive database of student work, websites, books, articles, etc.

    9. Overleaf ( https://www.overleaf.com/ )

    


    Overleaf is a collaborative cloud-based LaTeX editor used for writing, editing, and publishing scientific documents

    Jira is a software application used for issue tracking and project management. The tool, developed by the Australian software company Atlassian, has become widely used by agile development teams to track bugs, stories, epics, and other tasks.
